Privacy Policy

Effective October 15, 2026. This policy explains how Moz Intelligence, Inc. handles data in MozMail.

1. Who we are

MozMail (mozmail.org and mail.mozmail.org) is operated by Moz Intelligence, Inc., a Delaware corporation, 1 Sansome Street, San Francisco, CA 94104, United States. Moz Intelligence, Inc. is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data — username, email address, password hash and two-factor authentication settings.
  • Connected mailbox data — the access tokens or credentials you authorize for Microsoft (Hotmail/Outlook) or Zoho mailboxes, stored encrypted.
  • Email content — messages synchronized from the mailboxes you connect, including sender, recipients, subject, body and attachments.
  • Usage and security data — API key usage, sign-in events, IP address and technical logs needed to operate and protect the service.
  • Cookies — a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and privacy-friendly traffic statistics from Cloudflare Web Analytics on mozmail.org.

3. How we use data

  • To synchronize, display and search your email and to answer your API requests.
  • To secure accounts, prevent abuse and enforce plan limits.
  • To provide support and send service notices.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use email content for advertising.

4. Sharing

We share data only with providers needed to run the service: Microsoft and Zoho (the mailbox providers you connect) and Cloudflare (network and security). We disclose data to authorities only when required by law.

5. Storage and retention

Data is stored on servers we control, with mailbox secrets encrypted at rest. Message history is kept for the period of your plan (90 days on Free, 365 days on Pro, up to 10 years on Ultra) and deleted after that period or when you delete your account.

6. Your rights

You can access, export, correct or delete your data, disconnect any mailbox, and close your account at any time. To make a request, email admin@mozmail.org. We respond within 30 days.

7. Children

MozMail is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes

We will post any change to this policy on this page and update the effective date above.
